Ice Flows

The focus of this image is the many glaciers that flow off of Mt. McKinley from the upper right corner into the river valley. On the left side of the valley, is Mount Foraker, the second tallest mountain in Alaska. The glaciers from these two mountains (shown here in varying shades of blue) appear like rivers of ice carving ever deeper valleys.

This image was acquired in August of 2000 by the Landsat ETM satellite. The image is located at 62.9 degrees N latitude, -151.4 degrees W longitude.

The print comes mounted on quality stretcher bars using a gallery style wrap (image wraps around the side) so that framing is optional.
